A Saudi Aramco facility near the Jeddah Corniche Circuit was hit by a Houthi strike tonight after Free Practice 1.

Bombings had occurred throughout the week at other Aramco facilities in Jeddah but Formula 1 took no action and dismissed the happenings.

However, a scare rocked the paddock as explosions happened in a facility near the circuit by the end of FP1.

The Championship is awaiting more information from the authorities. Formula 1 has not responded to ASN’s request for comments. However, a spokesperson said they “are waiting for further information.”
