Guenther Steiner believes that Haas will be able to repeat the Bahrain Grand Prix success.
Haas had an impressive start to the 2022 season. Kevin Magnussen finished 5th, bringing the team their first points since the 2020 Eifel GP, while Mick Schumacher was just outside of the top 10. Steiner thinks that the VF-22 car is yet to reach its full potential.
“I’m pretty confident, because we have still a lot to learn about this car,” the Haas team principal said.
“We didn’t do a lot of set-up work because we just didn’t do the running at the two tests, so we had a lot to catch up on there.
“Obviously, now we’re going to race tracks where, with this bouncing, we won’t have the time we had here and in Barcelona to fix it.
“We go to Jeddah and in FP1 we need to be ready. If we mess around with that one, we are nowhere.”
