Lewis Hamilton managed to finish the Bahrain Grand Prix in third place, admitting it was the best Mercedes could’ve done.

The Silver Arrows have been struggling with performance since pre-season testing, but have managed to achieve a podium at the season-opener.

Speaking at the post-race interview, Hamilton admitted it was the best result they could’ve got.

“It was such a difficult race, we struggled through practice, and this is the best we could’ve got,” he said.

“Of course, unfortunate for the other two [Verstappen and Perez] drivers, but we did the best we could.”

Speaking about Ferrari’s result, Hamilton said he was happy to see them doing well.

“A big congratulations to Ferrari. I’m so happy to see them doing well again. They’re such a historic, epic team. It’s great to see them up there,” he said.
