Lewis Hamilton has revealed that he will have a more aggressive driving style in the upcoming Formula 1 season.
Last year’s title battle between Hamilton and Max Verstappen was full of dramatic moments on the race track. The Mercedes driver admitted that he would change his style.
“I will be a more aggressive driver this year,” Hamilton said ahead of the Bahrain GP.
The Briton also stated that the outcome of the 2021 Abu Dhabi GP would not affect him in 2022.
“I don’t hold any grudges. I don’t have any baggage coming into this season.
“I think it is important to let go. All I can do is try to shape what’s up ahead of me and I know I can’t change the past.”
Mercedes faced issues during the pre-season testing in Bahrain and were not optimistic about their performance. Hamilton assumed that though they learned some things, there would not be a dramatic improvement this weekend.
“I don’t expect that we’ve made a huge amount of progress.
“The car naturally was fresher, as you come into a test – you have a new engine, you have new components, but it is still the car from last week.
“We obviously have learned a lot from the week of testing here.
“I hope that we have taken some sort of step forward, through that understanding of where we position the car, but we will find out.”
