The Bahrain GP race director Niels Wittich has set the track limits for the race weekend at the Bahrain International Circuit.

The track limits was one of the most controversial topics in F1 last season. It all started at the 2021 Bahrain GP where Max Verstappen had to give the lead back to Lewis Hamilton after having passed him outside the track at turn 4. However, the Briton violated the track limits at the same spot several times during the race.

Ahead of this year’s season opener, Wittich released event notes, in which he determined the track limits.

“In accordance with the provisions of Article 33.3 [of the sporting regulations], the white lines define the track edges,” the event notes read.
