The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix organizers are revising the track layout due to safety concerns in the last sector.

Drivers expressed concerns in regards to visibility in some fast sections of the track, primarily due to the barriers obstructing their views beyond some of the corners, presenting a safety since it doesn’t allow them to see far enough ahead if there’s an incident on the track.

“We have been striving to improve on some areas for our second event,” said the event CEO Martin Whitaker. “Firstly, there are going to be one or two slight changes to the track.

“These tweaks are directly related to a drivers’ sight-line from the cockpit. It’s minimal work, but it will help improve forward visibility in a couple of corners.

“Secondly, we will make some small modifications to the barriers that will favor the lines the drivers take around the course.”
