Marcus Armstrong will drive for Hitech Grand Prix in the upcoming Formula 2 season, confirmed on Tuesday.
The 2022 season will be Armstrong’s third in the series. In 2021, he drove for DAMS, where he had 1 win, 2 podiums, and scored 49 points to finish 13th in the championship.
More than that, it will be the 21-year-old’s first season without the Ferrari support as he has left the Driver Academy.
Armstrong reacted to the announcement: “I’m thrilled to be joining Hitech this season in Formula 2. Team Principal Oliver Oakes brought me to Europe a few years back and I saw Hitech in the early days. Since then, it’s transformed into one of the powerhouses of Formula 2 and 3.
“I’m looking forward to be working with a successful group of people and giving it everything I’ve got in my new Hitech team this year.”
