Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc has tested positive for Covid-19 once again in 2021 after returning home from the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

A statement released by Scuderia Ferrari on Twitter confirmed the news. According to the tweet, Leclerc is “doing fine” and has only shown mild symptoms. The driver is now self-isolating at home.

“Scuderia Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc has tested positive for Covid-19,” the statement reads.

“In accordance with protocols required by the FIA and the team, Charles was tested on his return from Abu Dhabi.

“He is currently feeling fine, with mild symptoms and will self-isolate at home,” it concluded.

Leclerc had contracted the virus back in January of this year. He is yet to make a public announcement regarding his condition.
