Mercedes has declined to participate in a photoshoot of champions organized by the FIA.
The Silver Arrows have won the 2021 Constructors’ championship after a controversial end to the weekend in Abu Dhabi.
The team had launched two protests, one against Max Verstappen for overtaking under the Safety Car, and the other against the Race Director for allegedly breaking the regulations of the lapped cars. Both protests were dismissed by the FIA.
Now, Racefans.net reports that Mercedes has declined to participate in a photoshoot organized to commemorate their championship victory by the FIA, as the team awaits to appeal their decision on the lapped cars protest.
Since Sunday, Mercedes has not provided any material to the press and declined any comments to ASN Motorsports. Additionally, their social media channels have been left untouched.
