Max Verstappen admits that he will not be disappointed much if he fails to win the 2021 title this weekend.
It goes without saying that Verstappen already has a remarkable career with a lot of records set. In 2021, his performance has been on a whole new level as he has an opportunity to become the world champion in Abu Dhabi.
At the same time, the Dutchman believes that he has achieved a lot in his career, and losing this year’s title will not hurt as performance matters to him more.
“I feel I have already achieved a lot. The title does not depend on that for me,” Verstappen said.
“I find it difficult to compare it with other sports, but for me, it doesn’t change much if I win it or not – as long as I perform.”
“What I have achieved as a Dutchman in this sport is already history.”
