Sky Sports is facing criticism from the F1 community due to a controversial ad that shows Verstappen’s high-speed crash at Silverstone followed by a “Merry Christmas” graphic.

Red Bull requested Sky to remove the ad, stating that “a 51g crash where the driver was air-lifted to the hospital being used as a Merry Christmas message is very poor taste indeed.”

This doesn’t seem to be the only ad featuring a controversial moment from the season, as Sky Sports also uses the Monza crash between both championship contenders.
