George Russell has shared his concern regarding the safety of racing at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit.

Last weekend’s Saudi Arabian GP had a lot of big incidents in both Formula 1 and Formula 2. A lot of drivers admitted that the track was dangerous to drive. Russell, whose race ended after a nasty shunt with Nikita Mazepin on lap 15, was among them.

More than that, the Williams driver insisted that the track should be changed to prevent dangerous incidents in the future.

“It’s a great track to drive, but it’s a bit of a recipe for disaster, so definitely a rethink is needed,” Russell commented.

“If we do come back here next year, which I guess we are, I think there are some things that they need to modify to make these kinks just straights because it’s so blind. “We’ve already seen too many incidents waiting to happen.”
