Lewis Hamilton expressed confusion regarding his collision with Max Verstappen during the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.

As explained here, Hamilton collided with the back of the Red Bull when Verstappen slowed down on a straight after being instructed to let the British driver by.

After the race, Hamilton explained he was confused about the incident.

“I didn’t quite understand why he [Verstappen] suddenly hit the brakes quite heavily and then I ran into the back of him,” he said. “And then he moved on, so I didn’t understand exactly what was going on.

“I got a message afterward that he was going to let us pass, so that was a bit confusing.”

Hamilton also talked about their competition with Red Bull, stating they’ve been hard to overtake due to their raw pace. Despite this, the British driver is proud of the work himself, his teammate, and Mercedes have done to battle the Austrian brand.
