The final Formula 2 race at Saudi Arabia got off to a rocky start as it was delayed multiple times, and later red-flagged due to an accident.

The Feature race was delayed due to repair work, apparently because of a crash from a Porsche race before the F2 event.

Once drivers got to the grid for the start, Theo Pourchaire’s car stalled and was hit from behind by Enzo Fittipaldi. This prompted the deployment of the red flag and the medical team to the track.

The FIA made a statement regarding the condition of both drivers later, confirming that they were sent to the King Fahad Armed Forces Hospital in Jeddah.
