Lewis Hamilton will not be given a penalty for an alleged double yellow flag violation during FP3 in Jeddah.

The Mercedes driver was called to the stewards after the final practice session. However, the stewards decided that no further action was necessary for that incident. The main reason for that is the fact that the yellow flags were brought out by mistake.

“The Race Director reported to the Stewards that the double yellow flag warning on the
FIA Marshalling System was activated at Light Panel Number 6 accidentally, for less
than 1 second,” the decision reads.

“As the on-board video of Car 44 [Hamilton] clearly shows, there was no yellow flag displayed, no yellow lights were displayed to that driver and the yellow warning light was not visible on the driver’s steering wheel.”

At the same time, no decision has been made so far regarding the incident between Hamilton and Nikita Mazepin.
