Red Bull’s Sergio Perez admitted rival Lewis Hamilton was “untouchable” during today’s qualifying session for the Brazilian Grand Prix sprint race.
- Hamilton qualified on pole for tomorrow’s sprint, while Max Verstappen followed him completing the front row. The Mexican driver qualified fourth, behind Valtteri Bottas.
What he said:
- “We should be looking good for tomorrow,” Perez said regarding the Sprint race. “The new engine seems to be working pretty good. Lewis was untouchable today, so we will see tomorrow.”
- “It was a bit tricky starting in Q1 having to use a set of tires. We started a bit on the left foot in qualifying but progressing.”
- “The track cooled down a bit and we did not read the conditions very well until the last lap. We lacked half a tenth to be further ahead.”
