Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has blamed Yuki Tsunoda for affecting the last lap of both Red Bull drivers during the final stages of qualifying for the Mexican Grand Prix.
- Sergio Pérez was giving a tow to Max Verstappen when Tsunoda ran wide, distracting the Mexican who followed him behind. This heavily affected the lap of both Red Bull drivers.
- Horner has put blame on Tsunoda and admitted that both of his drivers are “pretty annoyed” by the event.
What he said:
- “I think we got Tsunoda’d. Both drivers were up, Max was up two and a half tenths, I don’t understand why Tsunoda was cruising around on that part of the circuit.”
- “It’s disappointing it affected both drivers, they are both pretty annoyed. We are still second row of the grid and we can still have a great race from there.”
