Mercedes “has to remain optimistic,” says Bottas

Valtteri Bottas says Mercedes has to maximize all possible chances during the United States Grand Prix.

Details:

  • Bottas will have to start tomorrow’s grand prix in ninth place after receiving a penalty for fitting a new Internal Combustion Engine.
  • The Finnish driver said the penalties “haunt him,” but that he will try to maximize all possible chances.

  • “It haunts me. It is what it is, but I will see what I can do from ninth place.”
  • “We have to make the most out of the situation. On the first lap, I have to take chances right away and try to gain places. We have to remain optimistic and make the most out of it.”
