Max Verstappen qualified third for the Turkish Grand Prix behind both Mercedes cars and revealed a battery problem that caused a lack of pace.

Details:

  • The Red Bull driver finished more than three tenths behind championship rival Lewis Hamilton during qualifying for today’s race.
  • His battery ran out faster than expected, thus giving him less power on the final lap on the straight.

What he said:

  • “I think it cost me one to one and a half tenths. It wouldn’t have given me pole, but it would have looked a bit better.”
