Alpine’s Fernando Alonso qualified sixth for the Turkish Grand Prix, in what he described as the “best Saturday of the year.”
- The Spaniard is “very happy” with his qualifying performance, stating he feels comfortable in wet conditions like those at Sochi.

- “I’m very happy, it’s been the best Saturday of the year,” he told DAZN F1. “We come from the best race in Sochi, where I’ve felt good in wet conditions and now too.”
- “In the end we’ve kept sixth place. We’ll see how we finish the job tomorrow.”
