Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz is not disappointed about starting last on the grid of the Turkish Grand Prix after receiving a new Power Unit.

Why it matters: Ferrari has fitted their new Power Unit in Sainz’s car, meaning he will start the upcoming race from last on the grid.

What he said:

  • “It actually doesn’t feel that bad. If you’re going into the weekend with a new Power Unit that is hopefully bringing a bit of performance and a bit of development to the team, I cannot be disappointed with that.”
  • “Obviously you pay the price of having to start last, but I have a pretty good record of starting last and coming through the field in the last few years (…) so it’s actually okay also to have a different weekend now and then a different approach.”
