Lewis Hamilton has won his 100th Grand Prix at the Russian race this weekend.

Details:

  • The race victory was within Norris’s reach but he lost it when heavy rain hit the circuit, allowing Hamilton to capitalize on it.
  • The Mercedes driver said he thought the 100th victory wouldn’t come.

What he said:

  • “I’ve been on 99 a long time, It just felt like number 100 was never going to happen. So many things were always getting in the way. So I’m grateful that the heavens opened today.”
  • I’m not sure we would’ve got past Lando had it not rained. He was so fast and it’s a very hard track to overtake on as well.”
