Ross Brawn is happy to see Formula 1’s desire to experiment and introduce big changes.
Why it matters: Formula 1 has been working on making changes to the sport in the recent years with Sprint Qualifying as one of the latest examples.
- Brawn believes that the people in charge care about the sport more.
- The F1 managing director of motorsports thinks that the new approach to management leads to the championship’s recent advancement.
What he had to say:
- “It [F1] is more open minded, and people within the sport are looking at more of the whole overall good of the sport, not just in their own personal positions,” Brawn told Motorsport.com.
- “And what I see is this sort of new world of F1 having effects in all sorts of ways. Social media has exploded in F1, it was very small five years ago, and Zandvoort, would that have happened five years ago?”
