Despite the double DNF at their home race in Monza, AlphaTauri’s Pierre Gasly sees a “positive trend” in performance after the summer break.

  • Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda were unable to fully participate in the Italian Grand Prix due to mechanical issues.
  • The French driver, however, admits that the teams’ performance in the last three races has seen a significant improvement.

What he said:

  • “The weekend [at Monza] ended very badly for the team, for me and for Yuki [Tsunoda, who wasn’t able to start the race] after our performance had been very good leading up to the race, and I had a super qualifying.”
  • “A real shame, but there has been a positive trend after the summer break, as our performance level was very good at all three races since then. It bodes well for the rest of the season, as I believe we can be competitive at all the remaining races.”
