Christian Horner does not rule out Alex Albon’s return to the Red Bull program in 2023.

Why it matters: Albon will drive for Williams in the 2022 F1 season, making his return to the sport.

  • With the signing at Williams, the contract with Red Bull is currently terminated and Horner admitted he will miss Albon’s service in 2022.
  • Horner nevertheless said that they have other talents, such as Juri Vips, Liam Lawson, Sebastien Buemi and Jake Dennis.

What he had to say:

It [earlier comment on “future options” on Albon] means that we have a good relationship with Alex, he retains a link to Red Bull, and we would have an option on his services should they be required in 2023.
