Christian Horner defends Max Verstappen’s action in his collision with Lewis Hamilton at the Italian GP.

  • Red Bull team principal believes Hamilton had to give Verstappen more space in turn 2.
  • Horner supposes the crash should be deemed as racing incident.

What he had to say:

  • “I think Lewis gave him enough through the run into turn 1 but, I think, our opinion would be that Lewis perhaps closed him too much into turn 2,” he told Sky Sports.
  • “I think that Max earned enough to be given a bit more space to work with on the left there, I think you can probably argue it from both sides. So I think if you could take a middle ground on it, you’d say it was a racing incident.”
