Daniel Ricciardo thinks that McLaren is capable of winning the Italian GP on Sunday.
Why it matters: Daniel Ricciardo will start the race second, while his teammate Lando Norris will be third.
- Ricciardo is determined to use the chance.
- The Australian admits that that some circumstances have to come together to give McLaren the opportunity to win.
What he had to say:
- “We’re close and I know a few things might have to swing in our favor tomorrow, but we’ve certainly put ourselves in the fight, in the hunt. So I’m very excited to get going with that and try to make some good stuff happen,” he commented.
- “Obviously, they [McLaren] were second here last year so we’re there or thereabouts. I’m hungry. I think anyone that saw me after qualifying yesterday, I think they’re not surprised about this outcome today.”
