Zandvoort is a new track for everyone also due to the changes made lately. The lack of kilometers covered in the first two free practice sessions complicated Sergio Perez’ weekend.

Both during FP1 and FP2 the session was stopped due to red flags. Perez admitted that that did not help him to find the right pace around the track.

The Mexican admitted he did not feel comfortable in his Red Bull and he still has to find the right confidence around Zandvoort.

“It was awesome to get out there and drive this old-school circuit,” Perez said after FP2. “It’s very different to the other tracks we go to and with so many consecutive right-hand corners it’s a pretty unique and physical challenge.

“I’ve never driven here before so it’s completely new and with so many red flags it was difficult to get into a rhythm.

“You need the confidence going into the session to trust the car to push it and I wasn’t quite there or fully comfortable so there are a couple of things on my side that we need to look at and make some decisions on to get the most out of the package.”

I am an Italian guy. I love Motorsport because of the emotions that it gives me and I grew up watching races. That's what I love!
