Formula E has said they will reverse the layout of the Berlin Tempelhof circuit for the season finale.
Berlin will hold the first event with tickets on sale since the COVID-19 pandemic began last year. The circuit hosted six races in the interrupted 2020 season, using three layouts. Two of them will be used this weekend, the traditional layout on Saturday, and the reversed on Sunday, Formula E has confirmed.
This weekends’ finale is expected to be chaotic, as Formula E always is. 18 of the 25 drivers are within title contention with just two rounds’ worth of points left on the table. The second event will be delayed by 90 minutes to allow for track safety changes to be made while the layout is reversed.
Nyck de Vries is the current title leader, who has been linked to a Formula 1 seat next year with Williams. It will be the final race weekend for BMW and Audi, who will end their involvement with the series at the close of the season
