McLaren’s Daniel Ricciardo says it’s too early to make a comparison between his teammate Lando Norris and Red Bull’s Max Verstappen, even if both drivers share similarities on track.

The Australian driver admitted similarities in terms of racing between both drivers, highlighting the “raw speed,” but stated that they share very different personalities.

“Yeah, I think very different personality,” Ricciardo told Motorsport.com.

“But, let’s say, the skill on track, you could see just the raw speed is there. I see it with Lando this year. It’s maybe a little bit early to compare him and Max. But, for sure, he’s very good. Very, very good.”

Ricciardo had a difficult time adapting to McLaren, which suits his teammate Norris better, but he is still confident he’s got what it takes to be in the sport.
