Lewis Hamilton reveals that he will be in attack mode in Saturday’s Sprint Qualifying at Silverstone.
The reigning 7-time world champion was the quickest driver in the British GP qualifying, which meant that he would start the inaugural Sprint Qualifying from P1. The race will form the grid for Sunday’s Grand Prix, so Hamilton looks to have an aggressive approach.
“With my head up, and just all guns blazing,” he commented on his approach for Sprint Qualifying.
“I need to bring out the lion tomorrow and give it everything, starts with the start so we’ll be practicing, and then we’ve got the long run practice in FP2.”
The Mercedes driver also supposes that it is crucial to start in front of Red Bull cars.
“I mean, passing the Red Bull is not easy. And so it really helps to be where we are. But we’ve got to get off the line. And we’ve still got so many things and obstacles ahead of us. But the sprint race is going to be an interesting one. So, I think I got the car where I need it, so we’ll see.”
