Lance Stroll has praised his new teammate’s turnaround, after a difficult start to the year.

Vettel scored zero points in the first four races, and things weren’t looking too good for the German as Aston Martin was carried by Stroll. Since Monaco though, Vettel has found his feet in Aston Martin, scoring 30 points including a brilliant second in Baku.

Stroll has given high praise to his teammate, who he admitted was the most expensive employee.

“He started slow, and is currently up to speed,” he said. “I think the slow start also had to do with the troubles we encountered in testing. For a day-and-a-half of the three days, I think we had all kinds of glitches with the car. So a lack of running time.”

“Yes, he’s the most expensive, but I think he’s doing a great job.”

Aston Martin will be hoping for more points at their home round this weekend.
