Sergio Perez feels that he starts understanding the approach of how to set his car up.

Red Bull’s driver Perez has had 9 race weekends already with his new team, which means that he has got enough time to get used to the brand-new machinery. The Mexican admits that the understanding of the RB16B setup has improved after he has used Max Verstappen’s setting for some time.

“We’ve been exploring a lot the car. We took this opportunity to get to know the car a lot better, from the reference we had. So in the end we did the right adjustments,” he said.

“I’m starting to find my own way, my own direction progressively,” Perez added.

“And yeah, also when you don’t have both cars on the same spec, on the same aerodynamic spec, it’s harder to compare, you know, to compare set-up. So it’s important that we go our [own] route in this case.”
