Max Verstappen took another pole position at the Red Bull Ring, however, he admitted not being 100% happy with his Q3 lap.

Verstappen was the fastest on Saturday, ahead of Lando Norris, Sergio Perez, and with his main rival, Lewis Hamilton, only in P4. Despite the great result, the Dutchman expressed his disappointment in a team radio right after the end of the qualifying session.

“I think Q3 was pretty bad,” Verstappen stated after the session was completed. “Of course I’m happy to be first, but not the way we got it. So something to look into.

“Of course, to be on pole twice here is very good. Hopefully, we can finish it off tomorrow.”

To conclude, Verstappen is quite sure that the softer compound of tires will change things a bit for the Grand Prix.

“We’ve got softer compounds compared to last week, so it’ll be tough to manage those in the race,” Verstappen added.

“Besides that, I’ll just try to focus on our race. We’ll try to win but it’s never straightforward.”
