Trackhouse Racing has bought Chip Ganassi’s NASCAR operation following the end of 2021, the team has confirmed.

Trackhouse is a new addition to the NASCAR grid this season, running a one car operation with Daniel Suarez as driver. For 2022 he will acquire the assets of Chip Ganassi Racing as part of a deal with Ganassi.

“This process took several weeks and I want to thank Chip for being so open and candid with me every step of the journey,” Trackhouse founder Justin Marks said. “Chip has built an iconic motorsports empire and the Ganassi brand is globally recognized as a winner in the auto racing industry.”

This effectively leaves Kurt Busch and Ross Chastain without a drive, however Marks has said both drivers are being considered for 2022. Ganassi will continue with his teams in IndyCar, IMSA, and Extreme E.
