Red Bull’s Max Verstappen has said he’s looking forward to the Austrian Grand Prix at the same track, after leading all 71 laps today.

Verstappen, who now extends his title lead to 18 points, is confident he could stretch his title advantage to over a race win next weekend when Formula 1 comes back to Spielberg.

“You never know of course how it’s gonna end up but straightaway, I felt a good balance in the car,” Verstappen said. “It was good to manage the tyres basically from the start.”

“They pitted one lap earlier than us, we reacted to that and then we just kept on going trying to hit our lap times and that worked really well. Of course we have to show it again next week, so we’ll definitely have a look at what we can do better. I’m looking forward to next week.”

This win was Verstappen’s third in Austria, as he continues his podium-or-DNF streak to eight races this season.
