Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff says the contract negotiation talks with Lewis Hamilton are “going well,” and without “stumbling blocks.”

Contract negotiations with Lewis Hamilton for the 2021 season were delayed, partly because both Wolff and the 7-time World Champion had contracted the Coronavirus. However, talks are now taking place earlier in the season, and the Mercedes team principal says they are going in the right path.

“Yeah, pretty laid back because it’s going well,” Wolff said after FP1 of the Styrian GP.

“We are discussing. There are no stumbling blocks. I think it’s just about agreements, and something that takes a few days longer. Yeah, good talks.”
