Alpha Tauri’s Pierre Gasly has said he hopes to continue improving his strong form at his home race in France, after a podium in Baku.
Gasly, sits eighth in the championship after six rounds, scoring in every race he’s finished this season. At Baku, the Frenchman took his third career podium, benefitting from the incidents of Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton to come home third.
Ahead of his home round at Paul Ricard, Gasly has said he want to continue improving his form in the upcoming tripleheader.
“Earlier in the year we had some good Saturdays, although Sunday didn’t always go as well, but the last two races we did an excellent job with no mistakes,” Gasly said.
“It was just what we needed and to be rewarded with a third-place podium is super. Baku was another track that had never gone well for me until this year and so I’m hoping we can follow the trend and change that this weekend also.”
