Miguel Oliveira wins after a great battle with Fabio Quartaro, who dropped back to P4. On the podium with Oliveira Johann Zarco and Jack Miller for the Ducati team.
Quartararo started very well, but in Turn 1, he got overtaken by Miller and Oliveira. Overall it was a clean start with no crashes on the first lap.
Joan Mir had an incredible start, he recovered six positions, and he was in P4, right behind the top three. Quartararo tried to retake the lead, but he went wide and lost two positions going back to P6.
Oliveira overtook Miller, who was trying to keep Quartararo behind, gaining the lead of the race. Quartararo was still there, and he seemed to be extremely fast, and after just one lap, he had already gained one position.
Meanwhile, Mir lost third place over Aleix Espargaro, while some places behind them, Bagnaia tried to overtake Binder without success.
The battle between Espargaro and Mir was still on, and the latter regained P3, while the pole-man was already fourth.
In Turn 5, with twenty laps to go, Pol Espargaro crashed and retired from the race. Marc Marquez was doing a great job as well, riding in P7.
In Turn 9, Danilo Petrucci lost control of his bike and ended his race in the gravel. Marquez had a good pace and put himself up in P6. Meanwhile, Quartararo was riding in P2, and he was on the chase to overtake Oliveira.
With 17 laps to go Marquez had to retire after a crash. He was doing a good job until then.
Miller was riding in P4, and he had to defend from Zarco, while the gap between the leader and Quartararo was 0.362 seconds.
With 14 laps to go, another rider had to abandon the race, this time, it was Espargaro. One lap later, Quartararo did not want to lose time, and he got past Oliveira, regaining the lead of the race.
Despite getting himself up in P1, Quartararo still had to keep Oliveira at bay. The number 88 attacked him in Turn 1 and became the leader once again. He also tried to open a gap between him and Quartararo, who did not give up and remained very close.
With 9 laps to go, Zarco gained the third position overtaking Mir in Turn 1. Mir was also overtaken by Miller, and Maverick Vinales was close as well.
One lap later, Valentino Rossi crashed in Turn 10 like Marquez some laps earlier.
With seven laps to go, Iker Lecuona had to retire due to a crash in Turn 13.
Quartararo was pushing hard to get Oliveira, but he could not reach him, and behind him, Zarco was very close. The latter overtook him on the main straight, and in Turn 1, Quartararo went wide, dropping to P3.
Quartararo’s suit was open and that was quite a dangerous situation, that is also why he lost time. Miller attacked him as well but he did not manage to overtake him with two laps to go.
The last lap started with Oliveira in front, but Zarco was very close. Quartararo tried to keep P3 ahead of Miller. However, since Quartararo went wide in Turn 1 while fighting with Zarco, he received a penalty and Miller got up in P3.
