The sneak peek of the upcoming NASCAR Cup Series race at Sonoma Raceway.

A new weekend means it is time for NASCAR racing. This time the best stock car drivers in the world will go to a road course again. Unlike the previous venues, this track is quite familiar to them as the next Cup Series race will take place at Sonoma.

Sonoma Raceway makes its return to the schedule after missing out on 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which makes the event even more entertaining and anticipated for the teams, drivers, and fans.

Track characteristics:
Type: Road course;
Length: 2.520 miles;
Number of turns: 12.

The track will be new for numerous drivers and for them the first laps around the Californian track will be during the race itself, which will surely spice things up. They will have to adapt to the twisty turns during the competition itself.

For more experienced drivers, the race will be a challenge of finding perfect setup as the cars lose grip very quickly.

There will be no practice and qualifying this weekend, so the starting line-up is already set. The Coca-Cola 600 winner Kyle Larson is the polesitter with his Hendrick Motorsports teammate Chase Elliott follows him on the front row. The defending race winner Martin Truex Jr. will start the race 19th.

Make sure not to miss any bit of action as ASN Motorsports will provide all the updates.
