The sneak peek of the upcoming NASCAR Cup Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway – Coca-Cola 600.
Cup Series is heading for its longest race in the season this weekend – the 600-mile race at Charlotte. Coca-Cola 600 is one of the biggest races in the US and it is a dream for every driver to win it.
Length: 1.5 miles;
Banking: 24° at turns; 5° at straights.
Coca-Cola 600 is definitely one of the toughest races on the schedule. Additional 600 miles can make a significant difference. They put some extra pressure and extra fatigue on a driver. Furthermore, the track conditions will change because of weather conditions, so teams will have to try out new adjustments in order to stay competitive for the entire race.
Like at COTA last week, we will see practice and qualifying at Charlotte. Obviously, it all will start with the practice on Friday, May 28th at 7 p.m. ET. The grid for the race will be determined on Saturday, May 29th at 11:05 a.m. ET. The Coca-Cola 600 itself will take place on Sunday, May 30th at 6 p.m. ET.
