Both Francesco Bagnaia and Jack Miller have stated their confidence in Ducati as the team prepares to head to Mugello for the Italian marque’s home race.

Ducati has won all of the last three Italian Grands Prix and has won the last two races of the season on the trot. Things look good for the Italian marque heading into their home race this weekend, with three Ducati bikes in the top four, Bagnaia just one point away from the title lead.

Coming into this weekend, both Bagnaia and Miller have said they have confidence in the bike and are excited to run this weekend.

“After almost two years, we’re back at Mugello, and I’m really thrilled. The Italian GP is the home race for our team, and this track is always special,” Miller said.

“It will definitely be a very different weekend without the fans in the stands, but I’m sure that all the ‘Ducatisti’ will be cheering for us from home! After winning the last two Grands Prix, I’m very motivated, and I’m keen to keep that momentum going. I can’t wait to get back on track this weekend!”

Miller has won the last two races on the trot and is only 16 points away from the title lead. Bagnaia however, thanks to his consistency, is only one point off and will hope for a race win at his home track on board the Italian Ducati.

“The Italian Grand Prix is our home race, and it’s held at Mugello, one of my favorite tracks! It’ll be the first time I’ll ride here wearing the official colors of the Ducati Lenovo Team, and this motivates me even more!” Bagnaia said.

During the last few races, my feeling with the Desmosedici GP has always been excellent, and Mugello is a circuit that suits our bike’s technical specifications very well. We’ll see how it goes this weekend, but I’m determined and confident that we can have a good race.”

MotoGP will be out on track on Friday morning.
