Luca Marini will don a special livery for Mugello, featuring the colors of the Italian flag.

After a difficult first few rounds of his debut MotoGP season, Marini has slowly been creeping up the scoreboards, with nine points from the previous three races, courtesy of 12th place finishes at Portimao and Le Mans. He is hoping his form can continue to increase as MotoGP heads to Mugello in Italy for the Italian Grand Prix.

Marini will be in different colors for this weekends round too, as his VR46 Ducati will don the colors of Italy, red, white, and green, for the event.

Speaking ahead of his home round, Marini said: “It will be an important round for me. The track is my favorite of the whole calendar and it’s always great to race there. Ducati has always been strong at Mugello, I hope to do well and have fun. It will be a special weekend, it will be a key race for me and I want to enjoy it from the start to the finishing line.”

Marini sits 22nd in the standings, and third in the rookie race, only 11 points away from Enea Bastianini, who holds the Rookie of the Year status thus far.
