The former FIA president Max Mosley has passed away at the age of 81 years old.
The world of motorsports has lost one of its most significant figures. It had been announced this Monday that the former president of the FIA Max Mosley has died.
Though his activity was followed with plenty of controversy, the sport in general made huge progress, especially in its safety aspect, which included the introduction of HANS and better crash tests.
Mosley made big impact on Formula 1 and motorsports in general in the position of the FIA president. He was in the position from 1993 to 2009.
The Briton also had to deal with some big scandals. The most well-known is the Spygate between McLaren and Ferrari in 2007. As a result, the Woking-based team got the $100m fine and disqualification from the Constructors’ Championship.
All that has made Mosley a remarkable person, who helped make the sport what it is today.
The ASN Motorsports team expresses deepest condolences regarding the passing of Max Mosley.
