Christopher Bell believes that the opportunity to push to the limits makes Dover fitting for him.
Throughout his career in NASCAR, Christopher Bell has had a lot of successful runs around Dover International Speedway, including two victories in the Xfinity Series. Ahead of this weekend’s Cup Series event at the Monster Mile, the Joe Gibbs Racing driver spoke about the secret to his success there.
“It’s just a track, where you can drive really hard and attack really hard and that’s something that fits my driving style,” Bell told ASN Motorsports.
Furthermore, the no.20 car driver is optimistic about the Dover race after a performance at Darlington, where he finished 14th and scored a couple of vital stage points.
“Going into Dover this year, I’m super excited about it, because I just ran really well at Darlington last week, but it was one of my worst race tracks last year in the 95 car,” Bell commented.
“I’m a little bit confused why that was, but I think us running good this year with the 750 package and especially having a great showing last weekend with the same rules package at Darlington is going to help us,” he added.
Christopher Bell will start the Cup Series race at Dover 11th.
