Josh Berry failed to claim his second victory of the year in the Xfinity series as he finished second in Dover for the Drydene 200. However, the driver says there’s a lot to be proud of despite a poor last run on the race.
“It could have been one spot better,” Berry said after the race. “We were so good today. Taylor [Moyer, crew chief] had his Tire Pros Chevy turned up so well.
“The last run, we just fired off a little to free and got eaten up. Justin [Allgaier] and I got racing each other, and the 22 [Austin Cindric] got away from us.”
Berry admitted that despite a poor last run, he has “a lot to be proud of” as he remained on the top two / three throughout the race – his first one at Dover.
“We just weren’t quite as good [during] the last run as we were the run before, but in my first race here, to run top two or three all day, there’s a lot to be proud of in that.”
