A sneak peek at the NASCAR Truck Series and Cup Series race weekend at Kansas Speedway.

After racing at a dirt track, short track, and a superspeedway, NASCAR returns to 1.5-mile tracks for the first time since Atlanta. This weekend we will get to see the best stock car drivers race around Kansas Speedway.

Track characteristics:
Type: Superspeedway;
Length: 1.5 miles;
Banking: 17-20° at turns; 9-11° at the frontstretch; 5° at the backstretch.
Surface: Asphalt.

The racing action will start with the 200-mile Truck Series race on Saturday, May 1st. The Richmond race winner and championship leader John Hunter Nemechek will lead the field to the green flag.

The race weekend will be followed by the 400-mile Cup Series event. After his 6th career success at Talladega Superspeedway, Brad Keselowski will start this Sunday’s race from the pole position.
