The Magnussen father-son combo will team up for this years Le Mans 24hr in the no.49 High Class Racing LMP2 Oreca.

Kevin Magnussen will make the appearance in the 2021 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans race. Actually, it will be a dream come true as the Danish driver will be in one team with his father, Jan Magnussen.

For Kevin, it is a debut, for Jan, it is something he has done for 21 years, but for both of them, it is something new. The two have never shared a car before in their careers until this year, where they will race together in an LMP2 car. They will drive for High Class Racing, in an Oreca 07, which has become the standard for LMP2 in recent years.

After 7 years in Formula 1, Kevin switched to IMSA in 2021, driving a Cadillac DPi-V.R for Chip Ganassi Racing. Jan Magnussen also brings LMP experience despite being a predominantly GT driver, having driven the no.20 Oreca so far this year. The two will be joined by Anders Fjordbach, who regularly drivers with Jan in the no.20.
