The sneak peek of the upcoming NASCAR race weekend at Martinsville Speedway, which will take place on Friday and Saturday.

NASCAR is back after the Easter break and the eighth race weekend of the season will place at one of the most remarkable tracks in the schedule – Martinsville. It will be the first time NASCAR will visit the Paper Clip this season. For the spring race weekend, there will be two events – one for the Xfinity Series and one for the Cup Series.

Track characteristics:
Type: Short track;
Length: .526 miles;
Banking: 12° on turns;
Surface: Asphalt, concrete.

Martinsville is unlike any other race track in the NASCAR schedule – it is a short track with quite long straights and flat turns, so the drivers need to brake at the entry. More than that, there is not so much space for overtaking, so bump-and-runs are almost inevitable in any race at Martinsville. All this provides exciting racing on the highest level.

Both Xfinity and Cup Series races will be held at night, which will also ensure great spectacle. The Xfinity Series will take the stage on Friday at 8 p.m. ET. Harrison Burton will try to make back-to-back wins there from the pole position with Justin Allgaier following him on the front row.

The Cup Series drivers will get to drive on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET. Joey Logano, who has become the first driver to win the Cup race on dirt in 51 years, will take the green flag under the lights, while one of the most consistent drivers of the season so far Denny Hamlin will be alongside him.

All in all, we will get to see extraordinary races at the extraordinary track. Make sure to follow all the updates during the race weekend on the ASN Motorsports’ website.
