Carlin officialized the signing of Kaylen Frederick for the 2021 season, completing their driver line-up.

Kaylen Frederick is the reigning champion of the British BRDC F3 series. The American driver joined the British F3 championship in 2019 and straight away showed impressive results, managing to score two wins, 4 podiums, and two pole positions.

It must be said that Frederick has always been very early in motorsports as he holds the record for the youngest driver to enter open-wheel racing in the USA SCCA pro series, at age 13.

The 18 years old improved a lot in 2020 and managed to win the series with not less than 12 podiums and nine wins. These impressive results seduced Carlin who decided to give the American prodigy an opportunity to shine in FIA F3.

“The FIA F3 Championship is one of the most competitive championships in the world, but I know with Kaylen’s work ethic he will give it absolutely everything to get the most out of the package we provide him with,” Trevor Carlin commented, showing his confidence in the young Frederick.

“I’m extremely excited for the season and can’t wait to get on track. (…) FIA F3 is a championship that all young drivers want to be part of,” said Kaylen Frederick.

“You know you are up against the best drivers on the road to F1. There will be many challenges ahead as a team, I feel we have what it takes to tackle those challenges.”
